Booking plugins tend to arrive in two shapes: a thin shortcode that cannot express
real availability, or a front-end for someone else’s SaaS with a per-calendar monthly fee.
Websel Booking sits between them. Services, staff and availability windows are defined in
WordPress, slots are generated from those rules, and a locking layer stops two visitors claiming the
same slot in the seconds between page load and submit — the failure mode most booking plugins
quietly have.
Status
Websel Booking 1.0 is live on WordPress.org and free to install: services with time slots, the booking form with e-mail approval, every calendar and list view, event announcements and slot locking. Get it on WordPress.org.
A Pro add-on is in development. It adds WooCommerce checkout and event ticket sales, recurring bookings, a waitlist, credit packages, a pre-booking intake form and SMS reminders. If you want to be told when it ships, get in touch.
