Most maintenance plugins serve their holding page with a normal 200 response. Google
reads that as “this is the page now”. Leave it up for a week and your content starts dropping out of
the index. The correct response is 503 with a Retry-After header, and that is what this plugin sends.

Secret preview links. While the site is closed to the world, anyone holding a private link — your
client, your team, a tester — browses it normally. The first click sets a cookie; after that the
normal URL works for them. Links are labelled so you know who has which one, they expire on a
schedule you choose, and deleting a link revokes every session obtained through it immediately.
That means client review no longer requires opening an unfinished site to the public.
